OPEN DAY

Earlier this August, Monash BrewLab took part in the University Open Day and flung the doors wide open to future brewers and curious visitors. The Periodic Table of Beers made a triumphant return and was the star of the booth. It was so popular we’ve promised to bring it to future campus events. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and asked great questions.

TRIVIA NIGHT

We wrapped Week 5 with a BrewLab Trivia Night. Teams battled through rounds on beer styles, science oddities and Melbourne pub lore that tested nerves and palates alike. The night ended with a chaotic meme round and plenty of laughs—big congrats to the winning table for nailing the final question. We had so much fun meeting the new recruits and showing off our beer knowledge!

CURRENT BREWS

A showcase of one of BrewLab's favourite beers

This month, we brewed a Biscoff Brown Ale! A malt-forward, biscuit-rich spin on the classic English brown. Think caramelised cookie, gentle spice and toffee notes over a soft chocolate backbone, with just enough hop bite to keep it tidy. Built for cozy evenings; it’ll hit taps once conditioning wraps up.

NEW RECRUITS

Please welcome our newest BrewLab members. They’ll be diving into design, microbiology, safety, partnership and much more. If you see a new face around the lab, say hi and show them where we hide the good stir plates.

BREWING COMPETITION

We are thrilled to announce that BrewLab will be running its first ever brewing competition!

Six teams will each create their own unique beer style, with the grand finale taking place at our BrewLab Launch Night at the end of the year. On the night, both accredited judges and non-members will get the chance to taste the beers and vote for their favourite.🍻
